You May Have Life
30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

You May Have Life
The Lord uses means to bring salvation to his people. He uses his Holy Spirit to inspire the writing of the Holy Scriptures. They are not written according to the plans of men. Holy men of God were carried along by the Holy Spirit. He did this so that you would believe that Jesus died and rose again to give life to the world. You are his beloved and he wants you to be with him forever. The proclamation of this Word creates faith. The Holy Spirit calls you with this Gospel. The Holy Spirit enlightens you with these gifts and makes you holy. All who call upon his name will be saved.
