Received Sight
18 The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight 19 and asked them, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?” 20 His parents answered, “We know that this is our son and that he was born blind. 21 But how he now sees we do not know, nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he is of age. He will speak for himself.”

Received Sight
They did not believe that the man had been blind. They need proof. Even his parents know this is a miracle without reason. We always turn to the things of world. The sinful heart looks in and cannot see and know the Savior of the world. Jesus must come and fix our eyes for us. He must send his Holy Spirit into our heart to plant faith. We often miss how stark a change this is. Our God intervenes and must change us as much as darkness is to light and as death is to life. This he does by the cross of Jesus and the preaching of that message into our hearts.
