Declared

25 So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been telling you from the beginning. 26 I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.”
John 8:25-26

Declared
The very Word of God is declared among you. This is the Word that has become flesh and blood and we have beheld his glory. Human reason and the sinful heart want trap him and dismiss him. God becoming flesh doesn’t make sense to our hearts. The declared Word is true. He is the Son of God and the Son of Mary. He is the God-Man that takes away the sins of the world. Jesus completes the Father’s will so that you would be a child of God. He suffers and dies so that death would be transformed, and your enemies would have no hold on you. Death no longer has the sting. The grave has no victory. You receive the treasure of the Father. This Father sends Jesus in your place. It is a great exchange: your sin for his life. You hear this Word. The Holy Spirit brings it. We rejoice for we have life in this Word forevermore.
