Strangers Here
13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14 For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. 15 If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

Strangers Here
The Holy Spirit has taken up residence in your heart. He has used the Word of God to create faith in you. He has brought you to Jesus and Jesus to you. So it is that by Faith you are now a stranger here. Heaven is your home. What is this heaven of which you are citizen? It is all about this Jesus. Faith connects you to Jesus. Heaven would be void and bare if Jesus were not there. So, that is where you long to live. That is where your faith has pointed you. Heaven is your home. Jesus will come back to take you there. It is a better country. We are not ashamed to call Jesus our God. He has won the victory for you.
