The Truth

7 But we pray to God that you may not do wrong—not that we may appear to have met the test, but that you may do what is right, though we may seem to have failed. 8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for. 10 For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.

The Truth
In the name of the Father and the +Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. The truth is Jesus Christ. We have been grafted into this Truth. Paul, the Apostles, the preachers and pastors of the Church are servants of this Truth-Man, Jesus Christ. It is the preaching of this Word and the Sacraments of this Man that you are strengthened. You may not think you need to be strengthened. You may not know that your sins have made you weak. Jesus knows. He sends strength for the battle, victory for the war, forgiveness for all your sins, and you are strong. That you may do what is right, Jesus sends his Word to you, even again today. Thanks be to God for his visitation among us for we are strong in him. In the name of + Jesus. Amen.
