Eternal Perspective

16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Eternal Perspective
As our outer bodies decline, the world tempts us to despair, but the promise of Christ renews our spirits. Our daily sufferings, though heavy now, are producing an "eternal weight of glory" beyond all comparison. The struggles and pains we bear today are fleeting. In the light of eternity, they are temporary troubles, refining our faith and focusing our hearts on the lasting hope we have in Christ. In His crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus bore the weight of our sins and showed us that suffering and death do not have the final say. The cross of Christ reorients us, lifting our eyes from earthly pains to His everlasting victory. We look not at what is seen but to what is unseen, for what is unseen, God's promises, His mercy, and the life to come, is eternal. Trust in His promises, for they are our true treasure and lasting joy.
