Conquerors

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39

Conquerors
In the previous verses, Paul asks the question if there is anything that can separate us from the love of Christ Jesus. Here we have the resounding answer: No! And not only will nothing separate us we will be the ones to conquer these foes. Of course, this victory is in no part on account of our abilities or our righteousness or good deeds. We can claim victory only through Jesus. Washed clean in the blood of the Lamb, the victory has been won. Christ holds us firmly in His hands, and the faith we have been given clings to His cross. A bond so strong neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of our Savior. Blessed be our Lord, what great things He has done!
