Life in the Spirit
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Life in the Spirit
We are a self-centered bunch. The brokenness of the world caused by our sin has directed our eyes away from God and our neighbor towards ourselves. We desire to be the arbiters of truth and to justify ourselves in all our actions before the world and even before God Himself. But we cannot justify ourselves, for we are corrupted by sin. Praise God thought that we don’t have to. Because Christ justifies sinners, God’s life-giving Spirit dwells in believers, it dwells in you dear Christian. He frees us from the bondage of sin and death. Those who are preoccupied with satisfying their selfish desires too often become angry with God and rebel against Him. Yet God promises release from this deadly cycle and brings life and peace by way of His Son and the cross. May our heavenly Father, by His Spirit, continue to direct our hearts to Christ, where true joys are found.
