Saved by His Life

Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Saved by His Life
When the Father looks at us, he sees his Son. We are the ones wrapped in the righteousness of Jesus' cross and resurrection. Without Jesus, our righteousness does not cut it. Our works, our life, our stuff only creates anger and kindles wrath. In other words, we are enemies of God without Jesus washing us and transforming us from death to life. It is Jesus who washes us in his righteousness. He takes away our sins and makes us his own. He speaks on your behalf to the Father. He covers you and protects you. He gives you a new heart and a right Spirit. You have nothing to fear. Your God has made you new. You have received reconciliation in Jesus.
