We sign this agreement with gratitude for God’s gifts and with a sincere desire to remain faithful in our Christian vocation within His Church. We recognize by submitting this form we are agreeing to the conditions of the scholarship fund.
Lutheran Education Scholarship Participation Agreement

As recipients of Bethlehem Lutheran Church’s Lutheran Education Scholarship, we joyfully acknowledge the blessings God has given through His Church and through the opportunity for faithful Lutheran education. We understand that this scholarship is not only financial assistance, but also a partnership in the life of the congregation and in the shared work of raising our families in the Christian faith.

By signing below, we agree to the following expectations as a condition of receiving scholarship assistance:
  1. Faithful Worship Attendance
We will remain active in the life of Bethlehem Lutheran Church by faithfully attending Divine Service on Sundays and holy days, receiving God’s gifts of Word and Sacrament, and participating regularly in the worship life of the congregation.
  2. Faithful Christian Education
We will faithfully attend Sunday School, Bible study, and other opportunities for Christian growth appropriate for our family and stage of life, recognizing the importance of ongoing catechesis in the Christian faith.
  3. Active Membership
We understand that this scholarship is intended for active members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. We agree to remain engaged in the life of the congregation throughout the year, including the participation of our children in the worship and educational life of the church.
  4. Stewardship of Time, Talents, and Treasures
As God enables us, we will continue to contribute our time, talents, and treasures in support of the Lord’s work at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, serving faithfully according to the gifts He has given.
  5. Christian Partnership
We understand that this scholarship reflects the congregation’s investment in our family’s spiritual and educational life. We receive this gift with gratitude and commit ourselves to walking together with our church family in faithfulness and mutual encouragement.
  6. College Students Attending an LCMS College Away from Home
Students attending an LCMS college or university away from home are expected to remain active in the Church by regularly attending and participating in a local LCMS congregation near their college. Bethlehem Lutheran Church remains their home congregation, and they are expected to resume regular participation at Bethlehem whenever they are home. A student’s temporary absence due to attending an LCMS college will not, by itself, affect scholarship eligibility, provided these expectations are met.

We recognize that the Lutheran Education Scholarship is intended to support those who are actively participating in the life and mission of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Should these expectations no longer be met, scholarship eligibility may be reviewed by the appropriate board or committee.
